Instructor's Bio

"Michelle Andersen" is an AFAA Certified Instructor and has been teaching since 1987.  She received her BA in Psychology, with a concentration in Physical Education from Cal State University, Long Beach.  Her initial experience includes low impact/aerobics, step, muscle conditioning and circuit training classes.  As a former Raiderette, Michelle conducted the rehearsal warm-ups and group exercise for the cheerleaders during her term with the Los Angeles Raiders. Her approach to fitness is strongly based on cross-training methodologies: integrating cardio-conditioning, muscle-strengthening and yoga-stretching exercises, balanced with the proper diet.

For the past 8 years her focus has been dedicated towards teaching “YOGA”, stretch and relaxation.  Having exposure to various yoga disciplines combined with her dance background, Michelle instructs a well-rounded practice that challenges core-strength/stamina, flexibility/poise and relaxation.  All levels are welcome - as we strive for better health, mind-body synergy, balance, focus and grace...... Namaste!
