One thousand days is only 95 days short of three years. Ten thousand days is just over 27 years. The quotation above is attributed to the man who built the largest karate organization in the world. He opened branches in 120 countries with a membership of 12 million people. The organization is named Kyokushin. The man himself, called "The God Hand" in Japan, is Masutatsu Oyama. His belief in the virtues, ideals and practicality of the martial arts were so strong that he devoted his life to karate. Kyokushin has grown into the largest martial arts organization in the world and fulfilled Sosai's wish to proliferate globally.
