To me the Dojo is a place where I can actively improve myself mentally and physically through self-discipline. Karate has meant, and continues to mean a lot in my life; one reason being is that the Dojo is the one place I can improve freely without disruptions. It is a place where the very idea of giving up does not exist, where fellow Karate-kas motivate one another through the spirit of Osu, and where I strive to become a better karate-ka on a regular basis.

Yoko Geri (Side Kick)

Profession: Student

When I am not at Karate, I am doing homework or hanging out with my friends. I love going to Jewish sleep away camp each summer and spend a lot of time at my Synagogue.

What the Dojo Means to Me: To me the dojo is a place I come to find a center balance in my life. Through training, I learn how to overcome all barriers and get through any situation. What I have learned in Karate can be applied to all areas of my life.

I love training at the dojo because it's the one place where I can really test myself and understand my body's limits so I can always become better mentally and physically.
