Our mission is to strive for excellence while providing quality instruction to each and every karate-ka (student) who entrusts his or her Body, Mind and Spirit to our dojo (training hall). We are committed to the education of all of our karate-kas as well as providing for the dojo's needs in the most empathetic and professional environment possible. Our intent is that the benefits of our commitment to excellence will positively impact the lives of our instructors, karate-kas and the community we serve.

Patrick Fard is the lead instructor of the full-time Kyokushin school in California. The International Karate Organization is the largest martial arts organization in the world under a single directorship.

Sensei Fard's introduction to the art of Kyokushin karate began at the age of seven, and he attained his black belt by the age of fourteen. He has since travelled to many parts of the globe, not only as a competitor but also for judging, coaching and teaching.

The heart of Sensei Fard's teaching philosophy is the development of a greater sense of security and knowledge of one's mind, body and spirit. Patrick has dedicated his life to the Kyokushin way, and it is his desire to nurture a thorough understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture through his teachings.
